Lens filters for view camera, pinhole camera and all other kind of cameras
Pinhole cameras do not use a lens to focus the image but use a tiny hole called a pinhole. Camera lenses are made with treatments that block ultraviolet rays, these rays are particularly harmful in analogue photography because they have the ability to impress the film. Pinhole cameras therefore do not have this protection, ultraviolet rays pass through the pinhole creating a foggy effect on both colour and black and white photographs, with a further colour variation to shades of violet in colour photography. To overcome these drawbacks, Auloma has developed a range of photographic filters ranging from UV filters, ND neutral density filters, to a complete range of coloured filters for black and white photography. The entire range of Aulomacolour filters are designed to block the damaging effects of UV rays in pinhole photography. Our filters are large square or rectangular filters, this because pinhole photography is often wide-angle, and our 100x100mm and 130x170mm size filters are particularly popular with view camera users. Although our filters were developed for a specific use, they are still excellent for use on traditional analogue cameras and the latest generation of digital cameras.Go to filters page ❱
